This song is about when love ideals vastly differ in a sea of egos. These egos greatly affect our visions of romance while leaving us with the ever-difficult task of wiping the heart’s lens. Our cloudy vision gets the best of us. We trip and fall. Hard. Sloppily. Grasping onto any escape, excuse or bystander we can reach on the way down.

We get up, dust off, and collage a recollection of events that create our new vision of romance. Tainted. Guarded. Now our “unconditional love” is conditional while we grow further from the freedom in love we desperately seek. Back to the starting block.
